OCI RENEWAL — DOCUMENT CHECKLIST

Basic documents
- Existing OCI card — A clear copy of your current OCI card, if available.
- Current foreign passport — Clear identity and passport-detail pages of your valid passport.
- Previous passport — A copy where applicable and available.
- Recent digital photograph — A recent photo meeting the official upload specifications.
- Digital signature / thumb impression — A clear scan, as applicable to the applicant.
- Supporting evidence — Documents relevant to your update or re-issuance request.

Passport update
- New foreign passport — A clear copy showing the new passport particulars.
- Previous passport — Provide a copy where applicable and available.
- Recent photograph — Prepare the photo required by the applicable online procedure.
- Existing OCI record — Your OCI number and current record details.

Name / personal changes
- Name-change evidence — Marriage certificate, legal name-change document or other applicable evidence.
- Updated passport — A passport reflecting the changed particulars, where required.
- Evidence for other changes — Supporting records establishing each requested change.
- Mission-specific documents — Any additional evidence required by the Indian Mission, Post or FRRO.

Lost / damaged card
- Loss documentation — Police report or other relevant documentation, where applicable.
- Existing OCI copy — A copy if you have one available.
- Current passport — Your valid foreign passport and relevant pages.
- Additional supporting records — Documents requested by the relevant authority.
